Our
Mission Statement clearly defines what we are on about at St Martin's.
It was collaboratively prepared by parents, staff and students of St
Martin's in 1997. It is used when policies are developed and implemented
to constantly challenge and remind us of our role.
While
this general statement offers us direction, its LIVED
REALITY, states what we are doing at St Martin's. Under each
element of our statement we can identify what we are doing to meet our
mission. Below is listed a few of the key actions under each part.
" Australian, catholic, co-educational,
primary school "
- We organise and structure things in ways that are appropriate for
primary school aged children.
- We reflect Australian society in that we have boys and girls P-7.

whole child "

intellectual and social development.

- We recognise and try to understand and assist children and families
when problems arise beyond the classroom.
" quality learning and teaching "
- We provide opportunities for both personal and professional development
for the staff.

this through our varied learning groups and developmental approach
to learning.
